IPA // Flora & Fauna IPA
Western Herd have crammed ten types of hop into this unique double IPA beer. The flavour is as complex and diverse as the flora and fauna abounding in The Burren - the karst region in their native county Clare.
Our design is hand illustrated and seeks to bring the shopper deep into the undergrowth of it’s flavour.
On pack copy:
Our county of Clare is lucky to be home to The Burren, a unique karst landscape that plays host to a wide diversity of flora and fauna and fragrant summer walks. And speaking of diversity; we’ve packed in the largest number of hops ever into this Double IPA. Designed to let the hops shine through we’ve built a complex and layered flavour profile.
The result is an intense fruit scent with pine, citrus and, in brewing parlance, a wonderful dank aroma.
We’ve used eight hops in the kettle (Colombus, Simcoe, El Dorado, Citra, Centennial, Amarillo, Cascade, Chinook) and then we double dry-hop it heavily with Nelson Sauvin and Strata.
