Stout // Dolmen Irish Whiskey Stout
Western Herd's newest concoction is a limited edition stout. Made with ingredients sourced from local producers in County Clare they continue in keeping everything about their beers as local as possible. In keeping with this theme is the name; 'Dolmen'. So we told the story of Poulnabrone - the most famous of the Clare dolmens - on their label. We pay homage to the 33 of Clare's ancestors that were buried underneath the great megaliths and celebrate them in modern, Art Deco embellishments.
On pack copy:
The great dolmen of Poulnabrone is one of County Clare’s most impressive archaelogical sites. Built between 4200BC and 2900BC it was the burial setting for 33 of our Clare ancestors. These days, Poulnabrone is a noted location for astronomical observation and so we thought it fitting to feature 33 stars above the great megaliths.
Here’s to our County’s past.
